Joy of Quilting Retreat

I attended the "Joy of Quilting Retreat" .... The two pictures with items hanging on them are thing the ladies made.... By the time I left the two lines were full... On Friday night was pizza and salad party... the last picture is the blocks that gets raffled off... Every one made one when we first arrived... There was many classes to learn new things... Everyone was willing to help out if anyone got stuck on somethings... We all shared new idea's and it was amazing to see what everyone was working on.... The ladies that attend were from the Cape and CT.... It is great to all get together once a year... The shared table was full of lots homemade items and bought things... There was a gift table and everyone went home with lots of lovely thing....Thanks to Sunny and Lorraine who put this all together...Hugs :)

Jacob's Football Game

Here are a few pictures of my Grandson's football game... The first picture is Jacob taking his helmet off... It was hard to get good pictures because we are far away and my camera could not zoom in closer... These pictures are the best I could .... Jacob got hurt in the beginning of the forth quarter... He got someone arm in the throat and he banged his head when he went down... He is fine and he had to sit out the rest of the game... They lost by one point... Oh, I just wanted to let you know all the boys on Jacob's team are wearing Pink socks for the whole month of October for Breast Cancer Awareness.... What a wonderful thing they do.... They do a 50/50 raffle and they are donating all the money to Breast Cancer instead of keeping 50 % of the money to the person they draw.... It was great to be able to see him play... This is the reason why I moved to the Cape, He is only three hours away... Hugs :)

Saturday Sewing Society

A group of us get together to sew.... We call our group "Saturday Sewing Society"... We meet at the Brewster Seinor Center once a month...The quilt above is a quilt that Mary made... She was binding it today to get it ready for our quilt show next weekend...

Katy Lynn and her husband was showing how to make Origami boxes... They are great for that special gift .... :)  As you see we were all busy, I did not get to take a picture of E. Jean and Catherine... Catherine was knitting and E. Jean was making a pocketbook... We had two ladies who have a Birthday this month, so we had a yummy lemon cake that Lynn made and we all sang to the ladies.... Great time had by all... Hugs :)

Jacob and Alex

Hi, to all my blogger friends... I am still around and have not posted in a while...I am still trying to get settled...I have not finished anything yet... but, I am close to getting something finished... My son (Keith) took this picture of my Grandson (Jacob #99) and his friend (Alex #94) before a game... They are wearing pink socks for Breast Cancer Awareness Month... This is too funny because I asked Jacob what was his favorite color and he said Pink... When I question why pink and he said it is the new black... Go figure... What do I know... I will see his game a week from today.. I can't wait and his parents are not going to tell him I will be there... Hugs :)
