Laundry Basket Quilt

This quilt is called a "Laundry Basket Quilt"... There is no pattern for this quilt, I made it my own... The stitchery in the middle says "Friendship Grows Within the Heart"... The quilt shop that I go to (Ye Olde Schoolhouse)  all the time had half square triangle on a roll with fabric to sew.. There were about 20 half square triangle with two fabric... Once I sewed it I returned them to the quilt shop... I kept on buying them every time I was in the shop... The staff would put the squares in a wash tub... When the program was done they would mix them up and give you back the same amount that I sewed... I ended up sewing 560 squares... This is what I came up with when I was done sewing them... I love the way it came out and the scrappy look... I finished it yesterday.... All I have to do is put a label on it... Country Cousins # 14

This is block 14 that is finished for "The Country Cousins".... This block is called "Basket of  Bluebells," It was a very easy block to do....I love the way it came out and now, I have two more blocks to finish .... Then I have to decide what to put for sashing around each block.... I am thinking now to use a dark green, but we will see... I took an advance class for applique and the teacher is very happy with the blocks that I have done so far.... The teacher (Peg) does a lot of applique quilts.... So, I was very pleased with her comment on my blocks that are done so far.... Hugs :)

Country Cousins Block # 13

I know that everyone is tired of seeing the Country Cousin's blocks..... This block is called "Sunflowers and Sweet Peas"... I have been working on other projects and I will show you when I finish them... I have 3 more blocks left to do and then it will be time to put this all together.... Hugs :)
