Snowman;s and Hand Towels

This quilt is called "Snowman"... I made it for my son's girlfriend and she collected Snowman's... But, by the time I finished the quilt, my son broke up with her... So, my son now has the quilt... Sorry about my toes in the picture... Each block is hand stitched, I enjoy having a project to hand stitch... I work on the blocks at night while watching TV... I did cross stitch on these hand towels for my friend's mother-in-law for Christmas... She got a pitcher and bowl stand from her son for Christmas in 2016... These towels looks great on the stand... Hugs :) 

Quilt and Pillow

I made this quilt in February 2017 and gave it to a friend of mine (Kristy)... I use to work with her... The pattern and fabric came together it was called "Five one yard quilt"....  She was so happy to receive it... Hugs :)

I made this pillow for Kristy as well... She bought a camper and it looks great on her couch in the camper... She sold her house in CT and bought the camper so, she has a place to stay where ever she goes... The pillow makes her camper a little cozy... I made this as well in February 2017... Hugs :) 

"Flower Garden" Quilts

This is a quilt that our quilt group had made.... I finished my quilt in May this year... The pattern is called "Flower Garden" and it is made with two five inch charm packs... It looks hard to get on point but it was very easy... I had made two... The other one is in the picture below... Hugs :)

Yes, I quilted myself... If you click on the picture you can see my stitches... The blocks were stitched one quarter inch on the inside of the blocks.... I was happy the way they came out... Hugs :)

Wall Hanging and Sue

This wall hanging I made this past March ... I hand stitch on each block and I added embellishments to each block... If you click on it you can see what I added to each block... Each one has added embellishments... I just love how it  came out.... Hugs :)

This is my friend Sue and I, ( Sue is on the right and I am on the left)... We met some of her friends for lunch... I think they are people she went to High School with,,,, Sue calls the group "The Lunch Bunch"... If you knew my friend, you would know she comes up with witty names for different groups she meets with... When I was on the Cape Cod, MA, she had met with some friends at her house and that group was called "Pickles".. Hugs :)   

My Son and a Baby Quilt

This is my son propelling down the side of a casino building in CT, to raise money for Special Olympic... I am so proud of him for doing this... Way to go kiddo... :)

When I moved to NC, I stayed with a friend till I found a house I wanted to buy... All my things were in storage and her mother-in-law became a Great-Grandmother... She asked me to make a quilt for her Great-Grandson... This is the quilt I made for her... She loved it and her Granddaughter loved it... I had no patterns so I made a simple quilt ... Hugs:)

Quilts

A guy I worked with asked if I could make him a quilt with a wolf on it.... I found this panel and made this for him... When he received he said he cried... he loved it and was very happy with the quilt.... Enjoy the quilt Jeff, it was a fun quilt to make... Hugs :)

 
This is a jelly roll race quilt that I made when I was on Cape Cod, MA.... I won the race, I received a gift card and a mug for winning the race... I decided when I got the top at home to add the boarders and add the circles... I loved the way it came out... When I quilted the circles on I did decorated stitches... I then gave the quilt to a friend for a housewarming gift... She was so happy to get the quilt.... Hugs <)  

Lilly and Buster

While I was visiting in Wisconsin, I got to meet my sister's new dog (Buster)... Buster is the black and white dog... He is a sweetheart and a love bug... Her daughter got the white dog called Lilly... She is younger and very active... They both were fun to play with ...In the pictures they were both tucker out after a day of playing...  I just wanted to introduce them to you all... Hugs :)   

My Trip to Wisconsin

I went to Wisconsin in September this year... I wanted to visit my sister and her daughter's family... They had a day at the park with the police and children to learn how to fish... It was sponsored by the local Police of Cedarburg, WI... The local Police, State Police and FBI were there to teach the kids how to fish, then they helped them to fish... Here is the pictures of my Great-Nephews... They got a T-shirt and on it said Cops and Bobbers... They had so much fun and it was a joy to watch their faces when they caught a fish... After fishing they were provided with lunch of hot dogs, chips and juice drinks... After lunch they got to sit is all kinds of Police vehicles.... They had a four wheel all turain vehicle, motor cycles, and cars... The children were able to sit in their vehicles and push the different buttons... It was a fun day... Hugs :)    

Engagement

Well my son and my grandson mom got engaged last month... I guess I will be attending a wedding next year... I am happy for both and it is about time, they have been together on and off for 19 years... Congratulations to both of them... Love you both... Hugs :) 

Football and Home Coming Dance

This is my Grandson, he is a junior in High School... This past Friday they had their Home coming dance... The first picture is him ready to go to the dance.... Jacob has played football since junior high... He loves playing..He is coming off the field after they won the game... There was a rainbow over the boys while they played... I am so proud of him... "Easy Breezy Belle" Quilt

While I was at the quilt retreat last month on Cape Cod I made this quilt top.... I bought his pattern and material while I was visiting a friend in Texas in August...We went on a shop hop around Texas and part of Oklahoma... Paint Night

 
I went to Cape Cod last month, and while I was there I went to Paint Night.... This is my painting I did... I was very pleased how it came out.... This is the second time I took this class... I enjoyed working with acrylic paints. Enjoy  Hugs :)

Ten Minute Table Runner

These three table runners I made while I was at a quilt retreat last month... They are called "Ten Minute Table Runner"...These will be for Christmas gifts... I do have one more to make for myself.. I just did not have time to get the last one done... Hugs :) 

My Sister's Birthday gift

Pumpkins and more

I did buy a rug for my living room... It might end up in my guest room... I just love the colors... :)

These pumpkins I make for myself and friends of mine... They were so easy and smell wonderful... When you put the poly beads in the bottom you add cloves, and with the cinnamon stick for the stem, it makes the pumpkins smell like the holidays... :)

I was licking my lips and Cali would copy me... But she left her tong out ... She is just too funny... Hope you all enjoyed my post... Hugs and stitches  :)

Needlepoint and Counted Cross Stitch

This is the counted cross stitch I made for Katy's 30th birthday... She lives on Cape Cod, MA and we became great friends... She loved it and I had to wait to post this because they celebrate her birthday this pass Saturday.... Enjoy Miss Katy  :)

I did this needlepoint for me and it was finished some time ago... It is suppose to be made into a pillow... I could not find the fabric I wanted so, I decided to have it framed... It is just as well because I have two cats and I do not want cat hair on it... I worked hard on it and it is my first finished needlepoint... I am happy with the results... Hugs  :)

Wyatt's Quilt and Bowl

My friend Barbara is going to be a Great-Grandma... Her Granddaughter is going to have a baby boy in December.... She bought the little blanket above and wanted the baby's name put on it... I have a embroidery on my sewing machine so I embroidered his name on it for her .... :)

Barbara saw this exact quilt in my quilt book for baby's ...After a few searches we found the fabric in the pattern that was in the book... I told her she was lucky to find the exact print... The top picture is after I quilted and the bottom one is the completed quilt... Her Granddaughter lives on a farm in Colorado and wanted this cowboy fabric... She is so happy the way it turned out...If you click on the pictures you can see the print better..... :)

This fabric bowl I made today... I have always wanted to make one... I had sewed the fabric on the close line a few years ago and I am just getting around to making this.... I am going to make another one because I have more line with fabric on it ... I enjoyed making this... Hugs  :)

  

Problems with the House I Bought

I bought my house in April 2114... In November I had to replace the heating system... :(  Then as you see in the pictures above shingles started sliding on my roof... The roof is only 2 years old, so I had to hire someone to fix the roof.... They said that who ever put the roof on nailed the shingles very close to the end of the shingles...so the heat made them heavy and slid down.... UGG  :(

Then at the end of May I had to replace my air conditioner ... This is the new one I had put in... If that is not enough, last month my oven would not work... It is a gas oven and I thought home inspection was suppose of see all these things before I bought the house... So, to say the last 16 months I have had enough problems... Thank God I have my health... My savings keeps going dry...  And I thought things happen in threes ... But, my chin is up and I hope and pray all goes much better from here on out.... :)

My trip to Myrtle Beach

Hi Everyone... I have been absent for a few months.... I am sorry for not posting sooner but, here are a few things that I have been up to...I hope you enjoy this post... My sister remind me that I need to put something on my blog... Enjoy :)

I went to Myrtle Beach in S.C. with my friend Barbara.... What a great week, I am ready to get to the beach... This picture of me is on the patio of our room... great weather... :)

Yes, those are my legs... Someone told me they look like hot dogs... REALLY  :)

The view and weather was great... The water was also great..:)

We did take a trip on this Casino ship... No, we did not win but, we enjoyed the entertainment on the upper deck... :)

We also enjoyed the view out on the front deck as we were sailing out to sea....  :)
