Valentine Table Topper

I made this Valentine Table Topper in Jan. '06, I designed this as well....I wanted to do something different....I appliqued the hearts to the squares and I hand quilted hearts in the border....It has sparkles in the border as well...I had fun doing this as well.... I guess you could say I found my passion in quilting.... :)

This is pretty too! I love the border fabric, all those tiny hearts are lovely.

You asked how large the blocks are on my Country Chain and Knot quilt? They are going to be 13 inches square, which is by far the largest block I have ever made. Each block has 40 pieces; there are five little four patches in each block. It went together quite quickly, especially the center four patches which I could strip piece and chain sew together. I love how much faster that is! Unfortunately all of the donated print fabrics were already cut up so they couldn't be stip pieced, but it was interesting working with sooo many different fabrics.

Happy Blogging,
Susan
