2009 International Quilt Festival/ Chicago

This quilt called "Traditional Treasures VII... The quilt made it's debut at this show... It is much nicer that the picture... We were not suppose to take pictures but, I had to hurry so none would catch me.... Oh, well.... That is why the pictures did not come out too clear.... :)

Hi to all my Blogging friends.... On April 17, 2009 I went to the International Quilt Festival / Chicago .... It was held in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Ill. This Convention center is on the outskirts of Chicago.... There were over 200 Vendors and 1,000 quilts, pieces of fabric and wearable art ensembles were on display to enjoy and inspired all.....There was so much to see and I had a great time viewing all of them as well as I shopped at the vendors.... If you have never been to a large quilt show.... I highly recommend it... In the coming weeks they will have a web site you can visit and see the quilt they had on display ...."Quilt Festival @ Home" at www.quilts.com ..... There was one quilt I was hoping to capture... It was a goat with a daisy in it's mouth....The hand work on some of the was just wonderful.... Enjoy the web site... :)

I LOVE the Chicago Quilt Festival. I've gone several times. Maybe next year we can meet there. The quilts are out of this world!!

As usual, you have been busy. I am finally getting back to blogging. There are rumors that we will have nice weather this weekend. I will let you know.

Did you hear the good news about Ruth and Katie?

The first quilt pictured has good impact. Looks easier than it probably is to make.
