Country Cousins Block #1

This is the first block that I have ever did in needle turn applique.... I took a needle turn class and this is the results of my first project... This block is called "Four Feeding Birds"... The pattern is from the Baltimore's "Country Cousins" by Susan McKelvey... I enlarged the pattern to 18" so, when I am finish with all the blocks, it fit my bed... I did make one of these blocks and I did not like the colors that I choose so, I started over.... I will show you each block when I get them done... Hugs :)

It is wonderful. Aren't they the most fun blocks to make? Glad to see you have begun. And I know you will finish before I do.

I just read your other comment my dear. So lets see...how can we get you to the Quilt Walk next year?? I was hoping you lived closer...but no...that would make it too easy. Well...have you ever been to the Bryce Canyon National Park or Zion National Park? We are 20 minutes from Bryce and an hour from Zion. These two definitely need to be on one's 'bucket list' before they die. So just plan it some year for the second week in June when our Festival happens!! Problem solved!!

I would never guess that this is your first venture into applique. Well done!
