This is a pin cushion called "Buckshot" .... If you click on the picture you will see the fabric I used... It is 8 tri-angles filled with "Silica Gel".... This product is used for drying flowers, but I read somewhere that it is good to use in pin cushions... It is glandular and it will sharpen you needles as you place them in the pin cushion... Instead of a button on the top, I put this ribbon... I had got the ribbon off the web at "Create for Less" ... There prices are reasonable.... They have a lot of items that a sewer of any kind could use.... It was a fun and quick project and I got this pattern off the web as well... :)

Thank you ever so much. I have six of those pincushions cut out and sewn. All are turned right side out and four are stuffed. Two are even put together. They just sit in the studio and taunt me. I put a button on top of one and it looked ridiculous. I tried beads on the next one and it did not look any better. With your ribbon idea I might even get these babies finished.
Now where did you get that adorable, adorable ribbon again? You told me and I forgot. :/

Your applique piece is beautiful. I'm with you...I love to do the hand work too even though it is time consuming. It is therapeutic.
Thanks for your sweet comment this morning. I am so glad you went over to Donna's blog. She is one of those people that a person takes an instant liking to. She radiates love! It is people like her that keeps me going while I am out on the road and weary of the traveling. It reminds me of why I do what I do!
Hugs to you!
