Jacob"s "Big Dig" Quilt

Here is the quilt that I made for my grandson (Jacob)... It is called "Big Dig" ..... I bought the kit from Fonds and Potter , last year.... I started it in November '08 and I finished hand quilting it this past weekend.... I embroidered the tow trucks in the yellow blocks....This is the first project that I had embroidered something on a quilt.... There are a couple that came out a little crooked.... but, I did not have extra material to do over.... due to the fact it was a kit... Now , I need to put on a lable and send it to my Grandson Jacob in CT.... He will be getting it for Easter with a pillow case and a bag of M&M.... :)

This quilt is awesome!!!! He's going to just love it. Are the dump trucks on the yellow squares hand or machine embroidered? I zoomed in, but I couldn't tell. I suppose you did the embroidery before you make the quilt sandwich? Great job!

Thank you so much for your comment on my blog, Jean! You are such an encouragement.
I love the quilt you made your grandson - he will treasure it!! I made my grandson a quilt about 18 months ago and he never is without it. We live all the way across the country from him so it blesses me to know he carries a bit of his nana with him everywhere.
Have a wonderful day!
God bless,
Jenny
