Mainers Compass

The first picture is a Mainers Compass... I had made the compass 3 years ago for someone and I had broken up with ...The compass was stitched on the "quilt smart" pattern... I found it to be easy to do.... I did not know what I would so with it until I found out that my Aunt is redoing her in closed porch... She was doing it in nautical decorations... I thought this would go well in that room... So, I finished it and will be giving it to her for Christmas.... I am sure she will be surprised and love it... :)

The second picture is a Crochet blanket I had made for a special friend who is going to be a Great-Grandmother for the first time... I am sure the baby will love it... The blanket is so soft and it will be great on the cool days and nights... :)

I am in awe of your Mariners Compass. It is exquisite.

Lovely blankie. I never did learn to crochet. It does look warm and soft.

The weather is getting more fall like here. Hope to see you next month.

Lovely Mariner's Compass! It will look terrific in a room with a nautical theme.

Happy stitching,

The Mariner's Compass has such a dimensional look to it. Well done.

Girlie, your sweet comments made my day...after a hard one. I just went to a viewing of a dear quilter friend, who found out she had cancer and was dead 2 weeks later. When I found out, I took her over a rag quilt for her to cozy up thru her treatments....and it was there in the casket with her. Her husband told me she took it everywhere with her.
So to say the least...I was devastated. Here I am working on a pattern, and just wanted to quit. Then I read your incredible comment and it gave me the umph I needed.
So thank you ever so much from the itty bitty tippy of my toes!
Your Mariner's Compass is amazing!
