The first picture is a Mainers Compass... I had made the compass 3 years ago for someone and I had broken up with ...The compass was stitched on the "quilt smart" pattern... I found it to be easy to do.... I did not know what I would so with it until I found out that my Aunt is redoing her in closed porch... She was doing it in nautical decorations... I thought this would go well in that room... So, I finished it and will be giving it to her for Christmas.... I am sure she will be surprised and love it... :)
The second picture is a Crochet blanket I had made for a special friend who is going to be a Great-Grandmother for the first time... I am sure the baby will love it... The blanket is so soft and it will be great on the cool days and nights... :)

A Christmas Story 6, 7 & 8
These are the last three blocks that I have to stitch for The Christmas Story quilt.... Now, I have to trim them to the size of the pattern and start to put it together...The fabric's that I used was from my stash.... The Angel is suppose to have the center cut out and then stitch the roses on... I forgot to trim out the center, so I stitched the roses and leaves on as is... oops, I guess I made it different than all the other ladies who are making this quilt... :)

My Birthday
As you can see I celebrated my 60th Birthday on June 29, 2010.....After my Sister took us all out to dinner we came home to enjoy this ice cream cake, it was delicious... The Birthday signs are what my sister posted around the house for me, (one in the bathroom, one on the coffee maker and one on my sewing machine) ... She had to go to work so, she wanted to be the first to wish me Happy Birthday....:)
The Sunflower Pin cushion is from a great gal who lives on the Cape... I will sure use it when I doing my needle turn.... It is so, beautiful and I have never seen one like it... Thanks Robyn :)
The Paddington Bear came from Harrods of London... My best friend and her family went to London and while visiting there they bought me this Bear for my Birthday, I have collected bears for some time... They also gave me a gift certificate to Heartbeats Quilt Shop... I will be using this while I visit her in October... Thanks Lynn and John :)
I got a Crazy Quilting, complete guide book from my nephew, Thanks Matt :)
I also received a Gift certificate from my niece and her family, for a massage... Thanks Lisa, John and Braeden... What a special day... :)

Winter Wonderland
I had been working on the quilt "Winter Wonderland"..... I put all the embroidery blocks together and binding around it... Then I had to stitch the "Fly Stitch" around the blocks.... This part is done and now I have been working on the blocks that goes around this.... The next time you see this, I will have it completed....If you click on the picture you can see it better... I took the picture outside, and some of the sunlight came through.... :)
Emfroidery Stitch Tool
As you all know I have been doing more embroidery.... There were some stitches I was not familiar with.... So, I purchase this Stitch Tool Booklet.... There is 180 different stitches and combinations... Also Illustration for left and right handed stitching..... The book also stands as in the picture.... I purchase it on Amazon.... It was a great help for me to do the Fly Stitch that is required around the blocks on "Winter Wonderland " as you see in the picture above this.... :)
