Bali Pop Quilt

 

This quilt is made with "Bali Pop".... I made this quilt for my son...He needed one for his couch... My son is in favor of black but, I decided to change it up a bit and did black,browns and tan... I am sure he will enjoy it... :)

 

 I had to share this picture with you all... This wild turkey was looking in my front door... When I went to get the camera he turned his back on me... He heard my cocktail squawking in my house... The turkey was on my steps for about 45 minutes ... He was not afraid of me standing there watching him... This is the first time this has ever happened to me... Hugs :)

Linus Day

The above pictures were from our Linus Day... A group of us got together to make quilts for Linus... By the end of the day we had 52 quilts...We all enjoyed our self and had a wonderful lunch that everyone contribute to... There was plenty things to snack on as well... Hugs :)

 

Yankee Doodle Quilt

 

The quilt is called "Yankee Doodle"... The pattern and fabric is from Jo Morton... I made this one to put out during the month of July... I hand applique the stars on to the circle then hand applique the circles to the squares... I changed the pattern up some... Hugs :)

 

Twister Quilt

One of our Guild member and friend had started to make this quilt for her first Great-Grandson... E. Jean passed away before she could finish it.... I told her daughter-in-law that I would finish it.... This quilt is called "Twister Without Waste"... Click on the picture and you can see all the fun fabric's I used... I am sure her Great-Grandson will cherish this quilt ... Hugs :)

 

My trip to Floridia

I went to Florida in February... When I got to Ruth's house this is what I found... Ruth's dog (Jody laying down) and a new puppy...( Lucy is looking at the camera)... Ruth's son bought a new dog when he went to Florida... She is so much fun to play with... What a lovely face... :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We went to a safari and saw so many different animals... These pictures are just a few of them... We were able to feed the giraffe... This was the first time I have been to a safari... It was so amazing... Hugs :)

Ugly Fabric Challange

This is what I made for our local fabric shop... It was a "Ugly Fabric challange" ...The outside boarder fabric is the ugly fabric... We had guid lines to follow... I entered this sillouete... The challange took place in March 2013... Hugs :)

Plastic Bag Holder

I made thes Plastic Bag Holder's for our quilt show boutique booth to sell... You know the plastic bag you get from the grocery store... Well now you can store them in a pretty holder... I will be making more of the same fabric's I used in the picture... They were fun and easy to make... Hugs :)

Corkboard

This is a corkboard that I made for my son... My sister had a friend that made one for her and I though I would make one for my son for Christmas... The corks are all wine corks, No I did not drink all that wine.. I could only wish...LOL Hugs :)

Hug Pillows and Sashay Scarfs

These pillows I had made are called "Hug Pillows"... The pillows will be going to the hospital for the patients to use after they have surgery... The pink flower ones are for little girls, the blue airplaines are for little boys.... the burgundy is for women and the brown plaid is for men... I made 3 each out of flannel... These are comfort pillows for them to have... Hugs :)

I had knitted 8 of the Sashay scarfs for our Quilt Guild's Quilt show in October... They have a boutique table where they sell homemade items... Some people call these scarf's frilly... They were quick and easy to do... Hugs :)

Snowman Ornament

I had taken a class on "One Stroke Painting" in December .... The class was offered at Millie Village Store in Chatam, MA.... A group of us took the class and painted a snowman face on a ornament... In the picture is us showing all our finish ornament... It was fun to learn something new... :)

This is my finished ormanent... I was proud of myself in how it turned out... Hugs :)

Barbara's Quilt

This quilt is made from a Bali Pop... At our local quilt shop they held a Bali Pop race... I had won.. I then added borders and circles .... I love the way it came out... My good friend Barbara W. wanted a quilt so this one is going to her.. I know she will love it... Hugs :)

Happy New Year

My Hobo Pocketbook

When I was at one of the quilt shows I saw this Hobo Pocketbook pattern ... I fell in love with it and decided to make one for me... I made this pocketbook in November.... I was having computer issues so, I was not able to post this... Everyone stops me and tells me that love it and where I got it... When I went home for Thanksgiving my Aunt and her girls all wanted one... Now I have five more to make... I guess I will be busy for a while...Hugs :)

 

Jacob's Quilt

My grandson out grew his quilt I made him some time ago... So, I made this football quilt for him .... The pattern is called "Disappearing Nine Patch".... If you click you can get a better look... Jacob's colors for his team is gold and burgundy.... The green is the grass, light blue is the sky, the brown is the texture of the football and the gray is the color of his sweatshirt.... This quilt will fit his new bed that is full size... :)

I also made two pillow cases for him... He will have one at his Dad's house as well at his Mom's house... Jacob was so excited to get this quilt that he crawled under it right away.... Then he brought it up to his bedroom and put it on his bed .... A friend of mine (Lisa P.) quilted it for me because it was just to big to do on my machine... I will defiantly say Jacob was happy with his Christmas gift... Hugs :)

Christmas Eve

Jacob and his sister were decorating a Gingerbread House... Jacob is waiting his turn and he was pretending to take a bite out of it.... My Grandson was eating more icing than putting it on the house... :)

Jacob was pleased in how it came out... He had both thumbs up... He did more decorating on the tray before he was finished... :)

I have to share this picture of my son... He was cooking our dinner... While he was getting the ham together for Christmas dinner, He cut the netting off the outside of the ham and put it on his head... he said he did not want to get hair in the food... He is always doing some funny.. I just love him ... Hugs :)

My Trip to the Amish Country

I went on a trip to Lancaster PA in November.... There were 23 of us ladies who took this trip... We shopped and shopped.... We ate in 4 Amish homes... They were all wonderful host and served wonderful dinners... Here is the sign we saw as we entered Intercourse... Enjoy the pictures....:)

We saw a lot of these buggies, this is what the Amish families use for transportation...:)

It was wash day when we were driving through the towns... :)

This is a very popular spot to shop... This was in Intercourse town.... We all had fun shopping... :)

This gal was getting around on her scooter.... :)

This is on of many schools for the Amish children... This school is from first grade to eight grade... The children for all grades go to the one school... They only go to school til the eight grade....There are many around because the children all walk or take there scooters to school... :)

Here are some of the children at recess,,, Ther were playing kickball... :)

I will post more later... There are so many pictures I took... You can not take pictures of the Amish folks because they do not want their picture taken... The farms land were beautiful and goes for miles and miles... Hugs :)
